Getting Older

There’s no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with my beautiful grandma, but when it’s spent celebrating her 95th Birthday, it’s even better. I often think that with all the stress we have in our lives, the awful foods we eat and the polluted air we breathe, will I even make it to retirement? Then I look at my 95 year young grandma and think, if I could be as alert, as healthy and as outgoing as she is, it will all be worth it. Every year on her Birthday I tell her, just another 6 years, just another 5 years, until you hit 100 and get that signed letter from the Queen. I’ve been counting down for as long as I can remember, and she always comes back with “who the hell wants to live that long”? At the rate she’s going, this won’t be a problem. I swear she has more energy, can walk faster and loves life more than I do. I true inspiration and someone truly look up too.
