How to Style a Floral Dress

Floral Dress

This spring, not only will you see flowers blooming in the garden, floral designs will be popping up in all the new summer clothes as well. Anything from pants, skirts, dresses and flowy tops, done in a bold and bright bouquet of colours, to your soft and pale pastel watercolour prints, there’s no getting away from this girly, dainty and romantic print.

Floral prints are super easy to style and can be mixed and matched with an array of different pieces in your current wardrobe. Try pairing your floral prints with stripes in the same colour family, or make an even bolder statement by pairing it with a black and white stripe.

Play the safer route and pair it with your favourite neutrals. Not only will this give it a light, fresh and airy feel, it requires absolutely no effort. White, nudes and creams go with everything, or you can try adding in a fun metallic to keep it fresh and interesting.

If showing a ton of print isn’t your thing, you can still have fun with patterns. Simply wear your favourite faux leather jacket to give it a more hip and trendy look, your distressed denim jacket to give it a more relaxed and casual effect, or have fun with colour and pair it with a bold and bright pump in the same colour, like I did in today’s look. I love the extra pop of pink these heels give to this stunning Eliza J Dress.
